Providence Section 8 Housing
The Leased Housing Department, more commonly referred to as Section 8, has earned the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) designation of High Performers for its management of the Section 8 Programs every year since 2002.
The Leased Housing staff is experienced and knowledgeable with an average of 19.5 years employed at the PHA and an average of fifteen years within the department.
The Leased Housing staff provides services to more than 2,600 participants in the rental assistance programs each year. Although the PHA has an allocation of more than 2,600 families to assist, the actual program size fluctuates depending on HUD’s funding budget.
